How to Remove Excessive Spikes
If the spikes are evident in every scan and
always
in the same area of the scan:
Look for bright light sources in the surrounding room.
Close all doors and windows, and block out any light coming through them.
Turn off all lights in the room, other than the lights that are mounted on the digitizer head.
Ensure that the subject that you are scanning does not have any overly-reflective surfaces.
