Motion Platform Problems
If you are noticing that the PS motion platform is making excessive noise, or "jerking," as it rotates around the subject, follow this procedure:
Verify that nothing is obstructing the movement of the platform.
Verify that power is turned on to the SCSI box and that red light is lit on the motion platform power supply box.
Recycle power to the SCSI box and motion platform power supply.
Verify the operation of the
power supply
.
Unplug and inspect
all
of the cables on the system:
From the SCSI box to the power supply
From the power supply to the platform
From the power supply to the motors
Look for any broken or missing pins, unplugged wires/cables, and kinked or broken cables.
Reconnect all cables and wires that were removed in the previous step.
Attempt to
home
the motion platform.
