Motion Platform Homing Problem
If you are having problems homing your Cyberware motion platform, follow these steps:
Ensure that the Emergency Stop Button is
not depressed.
Verify that nothing is obstructing the movement of the platform.
Is the rotary table stuck all the way to the right side of the linear
motion? If so, consult this document.
Check to see that the home switch is not stuck. This switch
is a small cylindrical aluminum piece, located under the left end of the table,
near the lead screw for linear motion. It should move in, then release with ease.
Verify that power is turned on to the SCSI box and that red light
is lit on the motion platform power supply box.
Recycle power to the SCSI box and motion platform power supply.
Unplug and inspect all of the cables on the system:
From the SCSI box to the power supply
From the power supply to the platform
From the power supply to the motors
Look for any broken or missing pins, unplugged wires/cables, and kinked or broken cables.
Reconnect all cables and wires that were removed in the previous step.
Attempt to home the motion platform.
If these steps do not solve your problem, please contact
Cyberware Support after you have collected
and recorded any error messages that the motion platform and software return.
