The Project Manager allows the user to customize the Measurements and Points in a project. Groups of measurements and points developed for specific users are available for quick selection.

This section of the tutorial will show you how to enter the project information into the Project Manager and set the current project.

1. Select 'Project | Manager...'.

2. Click the New button to create a new project. The project manager will expand to show details about this project.

3. Add information to the Project Manager
1. Project Name:

Enter a name of "Whole Body Tutorial".

2. Project Type:

Choose 'Whole Body' from the pop-up menu.

3. Company:

Enter your company's name here.

4. Location:

Type in your location (building / city / department / etc.).

5. Group Label:

The group should be an identifier that will allow you to differentiate between different scanning subject groups. This label might be a calendar date or a population. For the purposes of this tutorial, use the name "Group".

6. ID Label:

This identifier should be specific to each individual scan subject. One might use a social security number, driver's license or employee number. Enter "ID" as the label for this tutorial.

7. Database Folder:
1. Press the Browse... button.
2. Navigate to the 'C:\ drive by clicking on the c:/ button at the top of the Choose Folder dialog.
3. Double-click the 'digisize_databases' folder.
4. Double-click the 'wb_cyberware_female_db' folder.
5. Click the Okay button to select this folder.
8. Size Tables:

This value should be set to demo.

9. Segmentation:

The segmentation algorithm should be set to NEW.

10. Printer:

If you have a printer connected to your PC, you may select the port that the printer is connected to in this pop-up. If you do not have a printer connected, or you do not wish to print out sizing tickets, select NONE.

11. Scale:

If your scanner is equipped with a weigh scale, select the appropriate port in this pop-up. If no scale is connected, or you do not wish to capture weight measurements, select NONE.

12. Naming Convention:

The naming convention should be set to Standard.

The Project Manager should now appear similar to the illustration below:

13. Press the Save button.

14. Confirm that the database was properly initialized by clicking the OK button.

15. Make this newly created database the current project by clicking the Yes button.

4. (Optional) Choose the appropriate measurement category. If you have a contract with Cyberware to develop custom measurements, select your measurements using the procedure that follows. If you do not have a contract, continue to the next step:
1. Press the Edit button. This allows you to edit the current project and gives access to the categories.

2. Click the Choose Categories button.

This will open the Project Category Edit window.

3. In the Project Category Edit window, click the user button.

All of the users will be deselected and the user button will turn to red.

4. Choose the appropriate user checkbox (Consult Cyberware Support if you are not sure which selection to make).
5. Click the Add All >> button. This will add all of the measurements from the user selection to the current project's listings.

6. Click the Save button.

7. Click Yes button when prompted to save these project definitions.

8. In the Project Manager window, press the 'Save' button to save this project.

5. Close the Project Manager by clicking the Window Close Button at the top right of the window.
6. Continue to the Scan Manager.
