Database Compress

The Compress feature in DigiSize can greatly reduce the amount of disk space that a project occupies.

Using Database Compress

  1. Select 'Database | Compress...'.

    The Database Compress window will now appear on your screen.

    This window shows all of the scan files that are in the current project, along with their current status (compressed vs. uncompressed) and how much space the files are occupying on your hard drive.

  2. Press the Select All button. This action will select all of the scan files in the list.

  3. Press the Compress button to begin the data compression process.

    The DigiSize software will now go through each file in the current project and automatically compress that file.

    When this procedure is complete, you will be presented with a recap of the compression.

  4. Close the Database Compress window.
  5. Proceed to the Data Export tutorial.
