Whole Body Scan Alignment

This section of the user guide lists the steps required to realign the data from a Whole Body scanner, Models WB4 (SCSI), WBX (SCSI) and WBX (USB). Please note that you need special equipment for this procedure, a good working-knowledge of scanner procedures and the Administrator password for the computer where the software is installed.

Required Tools

In order to complete this procedure, you must have the following:

  1. DigiSize version 200712 or higher
  2. Scan Subjects:
    1. Calibration Cylinder (available from Cyberware Sales)
    2. Human Scan Subject (tight fitting clothes required)
    3. Mannequin or Custom Calibration Target (if available)
  3. Administrator password for the computer.

Procedure

  1. Launch DigiSize.
  2. Select your scanner from the Scanner | Select Device... menu item.
  3. Scan a calibration cylinder.
  4. Save the file as 'cylinder_diamter.iv', where diameter is the diameter of the calibration cylinder.
  5. Scan a human subject.
  6. Save the file as 'scan.iv'.
  7. Scan a mannequin/custom calibration target.
  8. Save the file as 'scan2.iv'.
  9. Compress all three (3) files and attach them to an e-mail to Cyberware Support.
  10. Send your scanner's configuration information to Cyberware Support by doing the following:
    • For SCSI-based scanners:
      1. Attach your current scanner configuration file to the e-mail to Cyberware Support. The file, located in '...\Program Files\Cyberware\DigiSize\cfg\', will have a naming convention of 'WB(4/X)-####-factory.txt'.
      2. Continue to the next step.
    • For USB-based scanners:
      1. Open the Tcl Console by selecting Options | Tcl Console....
      2. Type the following into the Tcl Console window:
        dev_d0 set correctTranslate
        dev_d1 set correctTranslate
        dev_d2 set correctTranslate
        dev_d3 set correctTranslate
      3. Copy and paste the Tcl Console output into an e-mail and send it to Cyberware Support.
  11. Send the e-mail to Cyberware Support.
  12. A Cyberware technician will then realign the data and send to you the corrected variables to update the scanner alignment.
