Install the ASPI Layer Support

Please note that there are directions for installation on Windows NT/Windows 2000 as well as instructions for Windows XP. Please follow the appropriate instructions for your operating system.

Windows NT/2000

Please note that there are additional help files in the '...\Cyberware\DigiSize\aspi\DOCS' folder. These files are in Adobe's Acrobat (PDF) format and may help if you are having difficulty installing this support software.

  1. Use Windows Explorer to navigate to the '...\Cyberware\DigiSize\aspi\' folder.

  2. Double-click the aspiinst.exe program to install the ASPI layer support that is required for communication between the scanner and the computer.

  3. Click the Install button to install/update the ASPI layer support.
  4. Reboot the computer.
  5. Continue to setup the SCSI Device.

Windows XP
  1. Select Start | Run
  2. Press the Browse button.
  3. Locate and select the INSTALL.BAT file in the '...\Cyberware\DigiSize\aspi\' folder.
  4. Press the OPEN button.
  5. In the command box, add a SPACE and either "XP32" for Pentium I/II/III/IV processors or "XP64" for Itanium processors. The command should look like one of these. Pay particular attention to the placement of the quotation marks:

    "C:\Program Files\Cyberware\DigiSize\aspi\install.bat" XP32
    ... or ...
    "C:\Program Files\Cyberware\DigiSize\aspi\install.bat" XP64
  6. Press the OK button to run the XP installer.
  7. Reboot the computer.
  8. Continue to setup the SCSI Device.
