Switch Motion Platforms

This page will list the steps required to switch from one motion platform to another when only one 3030 scanhead is being used.

  1. Move the 3030 scanhead from the "old" motion platform to the "new" motion platform.
  2. Connect all cables from the "new" motion platform to the 3030 scan head.
  3. Verify that the file, 'deviceSetup.txt', is located in the '...\Cyberware\CyScanÏgu\' folder. If it is not, please copy it from the Cyberware Software CD-ROM and place it into this folder.
  4. Verify that all of your configuration files (for BOTH motion platforms) exist in the '...\Cyberware\CyScanÏgu\' folder. If they are not present, please copy them from the Cyberware Software CD-ROM and place them into this folder.
  5. Launch CyScan.
  6. Choose 'Scanner | Select Device...'.

  7. Click one time on the scanner motion platform that you intend to use.
  8. Click on the 'Properties...' button. You should see a window that looks very similar to the image below. Note the buttons at the bottom of the window: 'Configure PSU' and/or 'Configure MSU'.

  9. Select the appropriate button (Configure PSU or Configuer MSU), then wait for approximately 5 seconds while the information is uploaded to the scanhead EeProm chips.
  10. Exit CyScan.
  11. Restart CyScan to use the new settings.
