Save the USB Configuration Files
This document provides information on procedures to save a USB-based scanner's configuration settings into plain text files. This is very useful if you would like
to create backups of the configuration and in cases where you will be changing the EEPROM values.
- Use Windows Explorer to navigate to the '...\Cyberware\CyScan\' folder.
- Create a new folder, named "cfgu" in the CyScan folder (if it does not already exist).
- Launch CyScan.
- Click on the CyScan window, then type the following key combination to open the Utilities menu:
CTRL + SHIFT + u
- Choose Utilities | EEPROM Save...

The configuration files will be saved into one of the following folders, depending upon the particular operating system that you are using:
- ...\Program Files\Cyberware\CyScan\cfgu\
- ...\Program Files (x86)\Cyberware\CyScan\cfgu\
- ...\Users\[username]\AppData\Local\VirtualStore\Program Files\Cyberware\CyScan\cfgu
- Exit CyScan.
