Save the USB Configuration Files

This document provides information on procedures to save a USB-based scanner's configuration settings into plain text files. This is very useful if you would like to create backups of the configuration and in cases where you will be changing the EEPROM values.

  1. Use Windows Explorer to navigate to the '...\Cyberware\CyScan\' folder.
  2. Create a new folder, named "cfgu" in the CyScan folder (if it does not already exist).
  3. Launch CyScan.
  4. Choose Scanner | Select Device...

  6. Click one time on the desired scanner in the list.
  7. Click the Properties... button.

  9. Click the Advanced... button.

  11. Select all 5 devices in the listing (drag across all 5 using the LMB or use CTRL + LMB).

  13. Click the Configure... button.
  14. [CyScan - Link Devices]
    CyScan - Link Devices
  15. Click Save Cfg... on all 5 EEProm Editor dialog boxes.
  16. [CyScan - Accept]
    CyScan - Accept

    The configuration files will be saved into the '...\Cyberware\CyScanÏgu\' folder at this time.

  17. Exit CyScan.
