This procedure may be used to reset the scanner's EEPROM to the factory default settings. It is very important that the procedure be followed in the order presented here. It is also very important to STOP the procedure if you encounter any behavior from the software that is not explained here. If you do encounter any problems, contact Cyberware Support as soon as practical with an explanation of where the problem occurred in this procedure and a screen shot of any error messages.
There are two sections to this procedure; Setup and Load the Configuration. The "Setup" section is completed one time while the "Load the Configuration" section must be completed for all Cyberware USB devices (up to 9), one at a time.

| !!DO NOT USE THE DESKTOP SHORTCUT OR ANY ICON IN THE START MENU!! |
CTRL + SHIFT + t
This key combination will open the Test menu.
This action will open the Setup Advanced (USB Device Edit) window. The Setup Advanced window displays all of the USB devices that are part of a Cyberware scanner. The most common Cyberware scanner consists of three USB devices: motion, range and texture. More advanced scanners consist of more than three USB devices because they use multiple range and texture components.
This action will open the EEPROM Editor (dev_xx#_ee) windows for each USB device in the Cyberware scanner. The components may be explained by this table:
| Component | Device Label |
|---|---|
| Motion | um, um0, um1, um2, um3 |
| Range | ud, ud0, ud1, ud2, ud3 |
| Color | uc, uc0, uc1, uc2, uc3 |
The following steps must be completed for each USB device, one at a time. Use the topmost EEPROM Editor - dev_xx#_ee window, load the configuration file, accept the changes, close the topmost window, then repeat the following steps for the next window. Repeat this entire process until there are no EEPROM Editor windows on your screen.
A Windows file browser, called Choose a Scanner, will appear on your screen.
For example, if your scanner is a Cyberware Whole Body Scanner (Model WBXU) and you see nine (9) USB devices in the Setup Advanced window (as in the illustration above), you would choose configurations based upon this table:
| Device | Configuration File |
|---|---|
| dev_ud0_ee | XX-####-ud0-FACTORY.txt |
| dev_ud1_ee | XX-####-ud1-FACTORY.txt |
| dev_ud2_ee | XX-####-ud2-FACTORY.txt |
| dev_ud3_ee | XX-####-ud3-FACTORY.txt |
| dev_uc0_ee | XX-####-uc0-FACTORY.txt |
| dev_uc1_ee | XX-####-uc1-FACTORY.txt |
| dev_uc2_ee | XX-####-uc2-FACTORY.txt |
| dev_uc3_ee | XX-####-uc3-FACTORY.txt |
| dev_um_ee | XX-####-um-FACTORY.txt |
