Motion Platform Grounding
Follow this procedure in order to verify the motion platform grounding.
- Isolate the problem by scanning:
- Take a cylindrical/circular scan (use any settings you like).
- Display the scan and see if the excessive spiking is present.
- Take a linear scan (use any settings you like).
- Display the scan and see if the excessive spiking is present.
Is the problem evident in the circular scan only? If so, the problem is with the rotary axis. Continue with step 2 below.
Is the problem evident in the linear scan only? If so, the problem is in the linear axis. Continue with step 2 below.
Is the problem evident in both the linear and rotary scans? If so, contact Cyberware Support with these initial results. Continue with step 2 below.
- Track the ground wire (usually a green wire) that runs from a screw post on the power supply to the point where it bolts to the scanner frame. Make sure that the wire is securely connected on both ends and that there is no corrosion of any sort on the ends of the wire or the connection posts.
- Make note of any obvious damage to any of the wires/cables where they plug into the motors of all motion axes.
- Contact Cyberware Support with the results, if necessary.
