This document provides information on procedures to adjust the home position of a USB-based Whole Body 3D Scanner (Model WBX).
This procedure is useful if there is excessive noise in the data due to reflections from the subject platform or if the subject's feet are not captured because the scanheads are too high above the subject platform.

The range of motion for Cyberware Whole Body 3D Scanners is limited, so you should first attempt to adjust the level of the subject platform. This simple fix is completed by turning the subject platform feet in order to raise or lower the subject platform. When scanning during this procedure, use the scan settings that are typically used by the scanner operator (Pitch & Length). The changes to the scanner variables in this document are permanent and will be saved to the EEPROM chips. Once this procedure is completed correctly, there will be no further need to execute this procedure in the future. Pay special attention to the values on the two sliders in the Motion Platform Home window. These numbers must be equal or the scanner will be out of alignment. This situation is very difficult to diagnose and will require that you reload the scanner configuration from saved files (see step 3 below). |
