Verify the Installation

  1. Turn on the scanner at the main power supply.
  2. If this is a SCSI-based scanner, turn on the SCSI interface.
  3. Reboot the PC.
  4. Login to the PC. Windows should recognize the new hardware.
    1. Continue to install the drivers for a USB-based scanner.
    2. Continue to install the drivers for a SCSI-based scanner.
  5. Launch the scanning software by double-clicking the CyScan icon. You should see a window similar to the one below:

    If you do not see a scanner listed in the grey area between the buttons (at the bottom of the CyScan window), such as "WB (SCSI) #9999" or "PS (SCSI) #9999", select a scanner:

    1. Choose 'Scanner | Select Device...'.

    3. Click on the scanner that you would like to use as the default (even if no scanner exists). For the purposes of this document, we will choose the PX (USB) #VIRTUAL configuration.
    4. [Choose a Scanner]

    5. Press the Accept button.

CyScan is now ready for use.
