Windows 7 USB Driver Installation

    On Windows 7 Cyberware scanners have new WinUSB driver software that needs to be installed manually. Power on the scanner and follow these steps.

    You must be logged on as an administrator to perform these steps. At any time if you are prompted for an administrator password or confirmation, type the password or provide confirmation.

  1. Click Start -> Control Panel -> Hardware and Sound -> Device Manager

    2. You will now see the Device Manager window.

  2. In the Device Manager window list of hardware categories, double-click the NET2280 PCI USB 2.0 Interface Controller device name in the Other devices section .

    3. You will now see the Device Properties window.

  3. Click Driver tab.
  4. Click Update Driver... button.

    5. You will now see the How do you want to search for driver software window.

  5. Select Browse my computer for driver software.

    6. You will now see the Browse for driver software on your computer window.

  6. Click the Browse... button and navigate to one of the following folders

    7. Windows 7 32-bit:

    C:\Program Files\Cyberware\CyScan\driver\WinUSB

    Windows 7 64-bit:

    C:\Program Files\Cyberware\CyScan\driver\WinUSBamd64

  7. Click the Next > button.

    8. You should now see that the operating system is installing the appropriate driver.

    If a Windows Security window pops up, select Install this driver sofware anyway.

    When driver software has finished, you will see a windows similar to the one below:

  8. Click on the Close button.

    9. Cyberware scanners are composed of multiple USB devices. There are, at least, three (3) drivers that must be installed for most scanners; a range camera driver, a texture camera driver and a motion system driver. The first scanner USB driver software has been installed. To automatically install the other scanner USB devices

  9. Power off the scanner.
  10. Wait 10 seconds.
  11. Power on the scanner.

    12. The Cyberware scanner is now ready to use.

    To verify the USB driver installation, go back to the Device Manager window. There will now be a hardware category entry with the name: Cyberware 3d Scanner Component. Within that entry are entries of each USB device for that scanner. The device entries will vary depending on scanner model and features.
